Filipino Fighting Arts

In 1932, the most renowned Eskrimadors, mainly from Cebu, founded Doce Pares as a society to promote the only original native martial art of the Philippines. The name Doce Pares reflects the Spanish influence on the Philippines and translates to "Twelve Pairs".

Eskrima or Escrima refers to a class of Filipino martial arts that emphasize stick and sword fighting. Other terms which have entered into common usage include Kali and Arnis de Mano (harness of the hand) occasionally the abbreviation FMA (Filipino Martial Arts) is used.

At House of Champions, we teach a traditional form of Filipino Fighting Arts. Students master single and double stick fighting methods, knife techniques, numerous empty hand drills and strategies that will neutralize blunt and edged weapon assaults. This class offers a traditional yet practical approach to this sacred art.
